Niklaus von Scharnachthal (1419-1489)

Leader of the Army, Diplomat and Lord of Oberhofen

The exhibition focuses on the life and influences of the castle owner Niklaus II of Scharnachthal. The frescos in the chapel are directly linked to the Burgundian wars in which Scharnachthal, as a victorious Bernese army leader, played an important role
