The castle is closed till 13th May 2017.

The office is open from tuesday till friday from 9 - 12 am and 2 - 5 pm.

Opening hours till 23rd December 2016

Monday - Saturday (if the weather is fine) 11 am to 5 pm

accessible from the main gate.  At 5 pm the park is closed.

No transit to the Wichterheer-Promenade.

Free entrance

No dogs are allowed in the castle or in the park. On the other hand, they are welcomed in the Restaurant Schloss Oberhofen. Thank you for your understandig.

How to reach us

By car

Highway A1 Zurich/Berne -> A6 in direction Berne/Interlaken.

You leave the highway in Thun-Nord and continue in direction Gunten/Interlaken

By train

From the trainstation Thun you take bus nr 21 or 25 in direction of Interlaken / Beatenbucht.-  Timetable SBB

By ship

From the trainstation Thun you take the ferry till "Oberhofen" (approx. 20 minutes). The pier is right next to the castle.
