A general tour of the castle offers insight into the 800-year history of the building and its owners. The tour takes you from the medieval room with its dungeon, via the residential area, to the top of the keep where you find the Oriental smoking parlour with its spectacular view of the lake and mountains.

Beneath the roofs of the romantic 19th century castle by the lake were not only the dwellings of the nobility, but also their servants. Whoever enters the servants’ quarters, with the bedrooms of the service personnel, is immersed into a previously unknown history, which, though part of the castle, has been in its shadow. During the tour of the new permanent exhibition, visitors will obtain insight into the everyday life of the aristocratic family’s domestic staff.
