LAKE THUN CASTLES
Located in charming mountain and lake scenery, the castles of Hünegg, Oberhofen, Spiez and Thun are a unique ensemble. Their specific histories and settings uniquely combine, inviting you to linger, discover and enjoy.
Each castle has its own character, history and identity. The four castles promote their strengths through cooperation. Communication with prospective visitors is improved through this joint presence.
THE SWISS CASTLES
The association of Swiss castles are a network of castles and fortresses in Switzerland. Their historical sites reveal centuries of history. The association organises events, exhibitions, guided tours and productions in an original setting tailored to their target audience.
Our aim is to bring the castles and fortresses to life in an interesting and entertaining way and so make them tangible to visitors at home and from abroad, also promoting their locations. The doors are wide open to all who enjoy the fantastic diverse world of castles and fortresses in Switzerland – be it for an excursion, recreation or simply curiosity.
CINEMA AT THE CASTLE
Every summer since 1993, one of the smallest open-air cinemas in Switzerland has been offering jewels from the world of film. Enjoy the beautiful evening ambience with a view onto Lake Thun and the Bernese Alps, and then savour a cosy aperitif in the Oberhofen Castle courtyard.
